\nA horse with strong hindquarters and a muscular neck is every rider's dream. What does this take and how can you speed up this process? Vitella Horse Care Muscle Maker Whey Protein is an ideal supplement to build up your horse's musculature.<\/p>\n

No muscle building without training. During training, tiny tears form in the muscle tissue that are repaired in subsequent rest periods. After that repair, the muscle tissue is ever so slightly stronger and the muscles are also ever so slightly larger. This requires regular training (4 - 5 days per week). By training just a little bit longer or just a little bit harder each time, the muscles become a little bit stronger. The horse must be in good condition for this: not too fat and not too lean. A lean horse has insufficient reserves to build muscle and will use its muscle tissue as a source of energy. An overweight horse tires quickly, has insufficient stamina and therefore cannot train effectively.<\/p>\n

Nutritional point of view<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n

From a nutritional point of view, protein is the most important building material for muscles. Protein is composed of amino acids, which in turn are divided into essential and non-essential amino acids. Essential amino acids must be provided by the diet because the horse does not produce them itself. Nonessential amino acids can be produced by the horse itself and therefore play a less important role in the diet. The essential amino acids are the basis for repairing and building muscles and other tissues in the body. Not only the amount of protein, but also the quality of the protein is important.<\/p>\n

When to feed Muscle maker Whey protein?<\/h4>\n

Proteins with high biological value (i.e. proteins that contain relatively many essential amino acids) and high digestibility are more valuable in this context than proteins with lower biological value. Whey protein has a biological value of almost 100%, it consists of easily absorbable amino acids that not only feed the muscles but also inhibit the breakdown of muscle tissue right after exercise and provide building blocks for muscle building. Whey protein is rich in branched-chain amino acids (BCAA). Unlike ordinary amino acids, these BCAAs do not need to be processed by the liver first. Once absorbed, they enter the bloodstream immediately, causing the amino acid level in blood plasma to increase rapidly and significantly.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the timing of intake is also important. Muscle protein synthesis increases when a sport horse consumes high-quality protein that is easily digested and absorbed within a foreseeable time (15 min) after exercise. If a high-quality protein source is fed, protein synthesis in the body will increase and the body will have sufficient building materials to build and repair muscle.
