Vermindert het risico op overdracht van leishmaniosis en ehrlichiosis bij honden.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target species<br \/>\n<\/strong>Hond (van meer dan 25 kg tot 40 kg).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Active ingredient<br \/>\n<\/strong>Elke pipet van 4,0 ml bevat: 400 mg imidacloprid, 2000 mg permethrine<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indications<br \/>\n<\/strong>For the treatment and prevention of flea infestation (<em>Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Op de hond aanwezige vlooien worden gedood binnen \u00e9\u00e9n dag na de behandeling. Het diergeneesmiddel kan gebruikt worden als onderdeel van een behandelingsstrategie tegen vlooienallergiedermatitis (VAD).<\/p>\n<p>Voor de behandeling van bijtende luizen (<em>Trichodectes canis<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Het diergeneesmiddel heeft een persisterende acaricide en afwerende doeltreffendheid tegen infestatiesdoor teken (<em>Rhipicephalus sanguineus<\/em> and <em>Ixodes ricinus<\/em> gedurende vier weken en <em>Dermacentor reticulatus<\/em> gedurende drie weken).<\/p>\n<p>Door de vectorteek <em>Rhipicephalus sanguineus<\/em> af te stoten en te doden, verlaagt het diergeneesmiddel de kans op besmetting met de ziekteverwekker <em>Ehrlichia canis<\/em>. Dit verlaagt het risico op ehrlichiosis bij honden. In studies werd aangetoond dat het risico verlagend effect begint vanaf 3 dagen na toediening van het diergeneesmiddel. Het effect houdt vier weken aan.<\/p>\n<p>Het kan gebeuren dat teken die al op de hond zaten binnen twee dagen na behandeling niet gedood worden en vastgehecht en zichtbaar blijven. Daarom wordt aanbevolen om teken, die al op de hond zitten op het ogenblik van de behandeling, te verwijderen om hen zo te beletten zich vast te hechten en een bloedmaaltijd te nemen.<\/p>\n<p>One treatment provides repellent (anti-feeding) action against sand flies (<em>Phlebotomus papatasi<\/em> gedurende twee weken en <em>Phlebotomus perniciosus<\/em> gedurende drie weken), tegen muggen (<em>Aedes aegypti<\/em> gedurende twee weken en <em>Culex pipiens<\/em> gedurende vier weken) en tegen stalvliegen (<em>Stomoxys calcitrans<\/em>) gedurende vier weken.<\/p>\n<p>Reducing the risk of infection with <em>Leishmania infantum<\/em> via transmission by sand flies (<em>Phlebotomus perniciosus<\/em>) gedurende een periode tot drie weken. Het effect is indirect te wijten aan de activiteit van het diergeneesmiddel tegen de vector.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contraindications<br \/>\n<\/strong>In afwezigheid van beschikbare gegevens dient het diergeneesmiddel niet te worden gebruikt bij pups van minder dan zeven weken of 25 kg lichaamsgewicht.
