{"id":7314,"date":"2024-01-05T14:44:21","date_gmt":"2024-01-05T13:44:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/food4animals.nl\/product\/equest-orale-gel-1892-mg-g-reg-nl-ura\/"},"modified":"2026-08-05T01:10:25","modified_gmt":"2026-08-05T00:10:25","slug":"equest-oral-gel-1892-mg-g-reg-nl-ura","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.food4animals.nl\/en\/product\/equest-oral-gel-1892-mg-g-reg-nl-ura\/","title":{"rendered":"Equest oral gel, 18.92 mg\/g REG EN URA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Available only from a veterinarian or by veterinary prescription from a licensed pharmacy or supplier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Equest oral gel<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gel for oral use to control worm infections and larvae of the horse hornet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Target species<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Horse and pony.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Active substance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Moxidectin 18.92 mg\/g<\/p>\n<p><strong>Indication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Treatment of infections caused by moxidectin-susceptible strains of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Large strongylids: <em>Strongylus vulgaris<\/em> (adult and arterial stages), <em> edentatus <\/em>(adult and visceral stages), <em>Triodontophorus brevicauda<\/em> (adult), <em>T. serratus<\/em> (adult) and <em>T. tenuicollis<\/em> (adult).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Small strongylids (adult and intraluminal larval stages): <em>Cyathostomum <\/em>, <em>Cylicocycle<\/em> spp.., <em>Cylicostephanus <\/em>spp.., <em>Cylicocontophorus<\/em> spp. and <em>Gyalocephalus <\/em>spp.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Ascarids: <em>Parascaris equorum <\/em>(adult and larval stages).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Other worm species: <em>Oxyuris equi <\/em>(adult and larval stages), <em>Habronema muscae <\/em>(adult), <em>Gasterophilus intestinalis <\/em>(L2, L3), <em> nasalis<\/em> (L2, L3), <em>Strongyloides westeri<\/em> (adult), <em>Trichostrongylus axei<\/em>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The veterinary drug has a sustained action for two weeks against small strongylids. Excretion of small strongylid eggs is suppressed for 90 days.<\/p>\n<p>The veterinary drug is effective against intestinal mucosa resident (developing) L4 stages of small strongylids. At 8 weeks after treatment, early (hypobiotic) L3 stages of the small strongylids are eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>The animal drug has been shown to be safe for use in pregnant and lactating mares.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contraindications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Do not administer to foals under 4 months of age.<\/p>\n<p>Do not administer in case of known hypersensitivity to the active ingredient, any other milbemycin or any other component of the veterinary drug.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dosage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A single oral administration of 400 \u00b5g moxidectin per kg body weight using the calibrated syringe.<\/p>\n<p>Hold the syringe so that the cap points to the left and the weight indications and measuring marks (small black lines) are visible. Set the syringe to zero by turning the dosing ring so that the left side of the ring is at the first full black mark and push the plunger down and safely remove any paste that is released. Hold the syringe as previously described to dispense the veterinary drug. Each measurement mark corresponds to 25 kg of body weight. Rotate the dosing ring until the left side of the ring corresponds to the animal's weight. The use of a scale or measuring tape is recommended for accurate dosage determination. One syringe is for treating a 700 kg horse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Special warnings<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Environmental hazards have been identified for this veterinary drug and special precautions apply.
